We are proud of the hard-working volunteers in all of these organizations who give freely of their time and skills to keep our Village the special place that it is! Over the past four years, the FVCDC has developed relationships and collaborated with many of our leaders who serve our Village, serve on boards and provide the hard labor that it takes to keep our community vibrantly active. We offer no-cost equity workshops with a certified anti-racism facilitator to our community. This program provides a historic perspective and the opportunity to explore your experiences, feelings and thoughts.

To preserve affordable housing, the the CDC is collaborating with the Falls Village Housing Trust to purchase and renovate rental properties.
In collaboration with SustainableCT, we supported the establishment of native plants in eight gardens including Town Hall, downtown sidewalks and road islands. These gardens support pollinators and save water.
In 2023 we also partnered with the Nature Conservancy to create an environmental resilience plan for Falls Village.
Grants from the Foundation for Community Health and Comcast supported indoor and outdoor community spaces with free broadband Wi-Fi. People can now bring their own device to the town green and log on.
In partnership with SustainableCT, we worked with the Falls Village Recreation Commission to produce a crowdfunding campaign with matching grant to add mature trees, native plants and a pergola to the Town Pool area.
We produced a video celebrating Falls Village's local farms and farmers and displayed the video in the Falls Village Cafe upon it's opening.
In 2024, we stablished an endowment fund for Falls Village in collaboration with the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation (NCCF).
